Technical Specialist

 

IMSolutions is seeking a Mid-Level Program Technical Specialist to provide support to the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Asia Bureau, Office of Afghanistan. The position reports to the Asia Bureau Director of Office of Afghanistan. The position is 100% remote. The start date is immediate.

 

Responsibilities

     •Support the USAID Afghanistan Desk’s Afghan Support Cell (ASC). The ASC is tasked with supporting the Referral Process for the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP). The USRAP is an interagency effort designed to support at risk Afghan nationals who are connected with the United States Government who seek to permanently resettle into the United States
     • Data analysis and documentation
        ○ Project/program tracking, data analysis and documentation
        ○ Email correspondence
        ○ Referral case management
        ○ Collaborate to design operational guidance
        ○ Serve as working group team leads
        ○ Administrative management support, program document preparation
        ○ Financial management support, program document preparation
        ○ Communications support, country-backstop, and field support as needed
        ○ General administration
        ○ Recruit and supervise volunteers
     • Other duties as assigned

Required
     • Master’s degree plus four (4) years of professional relevant work experience or a Bachelor’s degree plus six (6) years of professional relevant work experience

POSITION SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

 

Qualifications –

     • Familiarity with process design/systems architecture, human-centered design, and data management.
     • Familiarity with building systems and processes for data management.
     • Experience managing teams who do data management/cleaning.
     • Experience having to manage systems that require collaborative work.
     • Possess knowledge of development programs, especially in the Asia region is desirable.
     • Have experience in project administration and management procedures.
     • Be proficient in the use of Windows, Microsoft Office, Internet search engines, and email applications.
     • Ability to work effectively both individually and as a member of a team.
     • Knowledge of the organization and operation of USAID is a plus.
     • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
     • Superior organizational skills.
     • Expert multi-tasker and experience managing multiple tasks at once.
